King Sargon, Inc.

King Sargon, Inc. is a record label, music production, publishing and promotion company founded in 2010 by King Sargon. The various genres of music we write and produce feature a variety of extremely talented vocalists and artists. All music is professionally recorded, mixed and mastered by studio engineers with more than 30 years experience in the music industry many of which being studio engineers who came from major record labels.

About King Sargon

King Sargon is an artist, producer, composer and publisher registered with BMI. He currently writes and produces original music and remixes/remakes cover songs of various genres.

Music has been his passion since childhood. King Sargon started as a part-time DJ in 1980 under the stage name Smokin’ Sarge. Soon after, he founded and operated a DJ business with several contracted DJs throughout the 80s and 90s that performed at weddings, parties, conventions, fashion shows, festivals, and more. He also regularly performed as a fill-in DJ at many of Chicago’s hottest night clubs.

Smokin’ Sarge was also an on-air radio DJ for WNUR 89.3 FM (Northwestern University Radio) in Evanston, IL for many years. He began as a volunteer fill-in for student DJs while they were on seasonal breaks but became a regular guest DJ on a show called “Street Beat” that aired nightly from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM and featured popular club, pop, and dance music and mixes. He also produced weekly dance mixes for on-air play as well as recorded voice overs and narrations for PSAs and events. From there, Smokin’ Sarge volunteered time and DJ services for fundraising and charity events for the university, churches, Assyrian organizations, youth athletic clubs and various other organizations around the city. He participated as a speaker on Q&A panels at many DJ, music and wedding expos alongside DJs from WBBM 96.3 FM (B96), WGCI 107.5 FM, and WBMX 102.7 FM.

By the mid 80s, Smokin’ Sarge began writing and producing original music. Throughout the 80s and 90s he worked, in one way or another, on studio projects with local Chicago artists such as White Knight, Liz Torres and others.
